POCO X3 Pro is one of the most significant smartphones for the Indian market. With the promise of being a POCO F1 successor, it has big shoes to fill. In this video, we talk about all the important questions everybody has been asking all over the internet. Before you buy the POCO X3 Pro in India, you must watch this to set the right expectations.
- Does it have screen bleeding and ghosting/smearing issues?
Poco X3 Pro comes with an IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In general, all the LCD panels show screen bleeding, however, in the Poco X3 Pro, we haven’t observed it. But at a 120Hz refresh rate, you will face smearing issues.
- What’s the difference between the snapdragon 855+ and the 860 processor?
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ was featured by the OnePlus 7T and there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 in the Poco X3 Pro. Both the chipsets don’t feature any significant difference in terms of hardware or performance. However, if there would have been a two-year-old chipset, that is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ in the Poco X3 Pro, it wouldn’t have been a flagship killer. However, the minor difference includes the 58fps support in Snapdragon 860 and 39fps support in Snapdragon 855+ for PubG mobile. Also, the Snapdragon 860 supports Bluetooth 5.1, while the Snapdragon 855+ supports Bluetooth 5.0.
- Does it have Widevine L1 certification?
After installing the DRM info app and checking for Widevine L1 support, we have come to know that the Poco X3 Pro does have Widevine L1 support, which means you can screen HD content on Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hotstar.
- Is the display visible under sunlight?
You’ll struggle to use the Poco X3 Pro under bright sunlight. The overall screen brightness appears very low when used under direct sunlight.
- Is it too bulky to handle for average or small hands?
Poco X3 Pro is quite bulky with 215 grams of weight and 9.4mm thickness and it is not suitable for single-handed usage particularly for people with small hands. However, if you are using the Poco X3 Pro with both hands, you won.t feel any imbalance in the weight.
- How is the weight distribution?
Even though the Poco X3 Pro is bulky, but the overall weight distribution is good and it won’t slip out of your hands.
- Is it waterproof?
No, it’s not waterproof. But it’s water-resistant to a certain level. IP53 rating means splash-proof protection.
“IP53” means you can use your phone by the side of the pool, but you should treat it like a non-waterproof phone. Don’t let it fall in! Dropping your phone in the sand will not stop it from working. The IPX3 test only requires 10 minutes of spraying water, so these phones aren’t designed to be used in the rain.”
- Does it have a rubber seal ring on SIM Tray?
No there isn’t any rubber seal on the SIM tray.
- How is the haptic feedback?
Poco X3 Pro features the Z-axis circular linear motor for advanced haptic feedback. The overall accuracy of the haptic feedback is very good on the screen, while it isn’t that strong and stable to create complex patterns as we have seen in the iPhone with XY axis motor.
- How’s the speaker output?
Poco X3 Pro comes with stereo speakers with Hi-Fi audio rating. While testing the speaker, we saw that the audio output from the right side of the device is good along with nice surround sound, while the left side of the Poco X3 pro features a relatively low sound.
- Does it have Carrier aggregation support?
Yes, there is support for 4G carrier aggregation.
- Does it come with NFC payment support?
There’s no mention of the NFC support on the POCO India page, but POCO global model supports NFC.
- How much does it heat after 30 minutes of gaming?
Since there is a polycarbonate shell, the Poco X3 Pro gets overheated up to 45-degree centigrade.
- Can it shoot in 4K 60fps?
No, the camera setup doesn’t support 4K 60fps. Here you’ll get 4K 30fps.
- How’s the video stabilisation?
Even though there is a dedicated steady mode, but the video stabilization is not that good. There is one more thing worth mentioning when you activate the steady mode, the resolution gets restricted at 1080P 30fps and you can’t select any other mode. Due to which the frame gets cropped and the quality gets restricted.
- What’s the sequential read and write speed of UFS 3.1?
Poco X30 Pro comes with UFS 3.1 internal storage and the sequential read speed is around 850 MBPS to 1000 MBPS. Also, the sequential write speed lies between 350 MBPS and 450 MBPS.
- Does it have GCam support?
After installing the camera2API app, you can see the Poco X3 Pro supports Hardware-level 3, which means you can see that the Gcam features are going to be limited after installing the Gcam application.
- Is there bloatware on POCO X3 Pro?
Poco X3 Pro runs on MIUI 12 and you’ll see the Poco launcher here. The overall user interface is good and although there are few pre-installed apps, you can uninstall them as per your choice. Also, the 3rd party ads and bloatware have been eliminated here.
- Can you unlock the phone using sweaty/watery fingers? –
No, you can’t unlock the Poco X3 Pro with sweaty fingers.
- Is it really a true successor to POCO F1?
Only in a sense of an affordable gaming phone, but not in the sense of the overall deal. Not a distinctive design like POCO F1, Not a great camera specs, in fact, a downgrade from POCO X3 camera.
