    Vivo fans, especially the flagship phone users, have got a big surprise on 16 September 2026, which is today, as the OriginOS7 release has begun. Yes, Vivo has announced the OriginOS 7 release worldwide in its Developer Conference, and before the global rollout to all the phones and devices, the Vivo OriginOS 7 release has come through a special ‘preview programme’, which is restricted to a few users on a first-come, first-served basis.     Vivo OriginOS 7 Releases Through A Special Preview Program: X Series And iQOO Users Get The First Glimpse 

    Vivo is giving select flagship users an early taste of its next-generation software with the OriginOS 7 Preview Program, based on Android 17. The programme targets premium devices including the vivo X300 series and iQOO 15, with the X300 Pro among the first phones highlighted for testing. According to the preview announcement, registration opens September 16, with a limited number of users getting access before the wider rollout. 

    For Vivo X300 series users, only the first 500 or the first 1000 users might only get access to the preview program, and a similar number might be there for iQOO users too; however, the official numbers are awaited.

    OriginOS 7 is expected to introduce a redesigned, liquid-style interface, smoother animations, enhanced multitasking and deeper system-level performance optimisations. Here are all the key expected features Vivo and iQOO users will experience after the OriginOS 7 release:

    • Liquid Glass-style UI with translucent elements and fluid animations.
    • Atomic Workbench for improved multitasking on conventional smartphones.
    • Blue River Smooth Engine with upgraded system optimisation.
    • Up to 14 per cent higher rendering efficiency, according to Vivo's claims.
    • Up to 19 per cent faster page-switching response.
    • Up to 12 per cent faster app launching.
    • Around 20 per cent lower power consumption during demanding UI animations.
    • Storage Compression 2.0 to reclaim additional internal storage.
    • Improved memory management and app retention.
    • New lock-screen personalisation and Liquid Themes.
