OPPO has recently released the newest addition to its F-series of smartphones, the OPPO F17. Equipped with a 6.44-inch sAMOLED screen, a quad-camera setup, and a huge battery to go with it all. The phone will be competing against the likes of Realme 7, Motorola One Fusion Plus, and Samsung Galaxy M31s to name a few. Available in three colours, this phone comes in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants.

OPPO F17 is carrying a price tag of ₹17,990 for the only 6GB+128GB variant. The smartphone is currently listed on Flipkart for purchasing and will be available at offline retail stores as well. If you wish to opt for a better camera specification, you can go for the upgraded version which is the OPPO F17 Pro.

Oppo F17 sports a leather-feel back which makes the look and feels of the device very premium. On the back of the device, we have the quad-camera setup with the LED flash. On the front of the device, we have the 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with the tear-drop shaped notch for the front camera. We have the power button on the right side of the device and on the left side of the device, we have the volume buttons. On the bottom of the device, we have the headphone jack, the primary microphone, a USB Type-C port, and the loudspeaker.

The device weighs in at 163g and is 7.45mm thick. The Oppo F17 is offered in Navy Blue, Classic Silver, and Dynamic Orange colours.

OPPO F17 is rocking a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080 by 2400 pixel resolution. The aspect ratio on this screen is 20:9 and has a pixel density of 408ppi. There is a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio with 1.67mm of border width. There is a tear-drop shaped notch for the front camera and there is the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

Inside the OPPO F17, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor which is an octa-core processor built on the 11nm process. This processor can clock up to 2.0GHz. The Oppo F17 is available in storage option of 128GB storage and RAM of either 6GB or 8GB respectively. The storage can be expanded via the dedicated microSD card slot provided.

OPPO F17 runs on Android 10 with Oppo’s own ColorOS 7.2 custom skin on top of it.

OPPO F17 is having a quad-camera setup at the back and a single front camera. The quad-camera setup consists of a 16MP main sensor with PDAF, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with 119˚ of field-of-view, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera has features like the LED flash, HDR, and panorama built-in. The video output is rated at 4k at 30fps.

The front camera is a 16MP wide sensor with support for HDR. The video output through this camera is 1080p at 30fps.

OPPO F17 is powered by a huge 4000mAh Li-Po battery with support for up to 30W of fast charging dubbed by Oppo as the VOOC 4.0. There are 4 hours of talk time advertised on just 5 minutes of charging.

OPPO F17 is a very attractive smartphone due to both its looks and its specifications. But the fierce competition in the mid-range segment of smartphones will test the real-life performance of this phone.
