With the incoming OnePlus 8 series, people certainly have high hopes with the kind of technology, hardware, and software that the upcoming series will unfold. Apparently, PCMag got an exclusive early look at OnePlus 8 series’ DisplayMate analysis and these are pretty awesome considering the fact that the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro managed to score high color accuracy, low reflectivity screens and can get super bright.
The OnePlus 8 series has managed to achieve the highest A+ rating at DisplayMate along with the Best Smartphone Display Awards thanks to its brilliant and visually indistinguishable from the perfect display as said in a tweet. Apparently, the OnePlus 8 series managed to break not one but ten display performance records including low reflectivity, color accuracy and others which is a phenomenon.

According to the results, the OnePlus 8 Pro could rack up a max brightness of 1009 nites at half the average picture level (APL). To put things into perspective, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra managed to score 995 nits on the same test. In terms of screen reflectivity, OnePlus 8 Pro did shine away with massive improvements over its predecessor as well as to the level of Galaxy S20.
OnePlus uses two colour modes i.e. Vivid and Natural that nurture its colour gamut in two separate game spaces such as sRGB and DCI-P3. Further, according to the report, OnePlus 8 Pro managed to pull 1444 nits on a 1-percent average picture level which is way out of the league of recent flagship devices from Samsung, Apple, and even OnePlus itself so it is a major achievement.
Further, OnePlus 8 Pro managed to score reflectivity between 5.3 to 5.4 which puts it way ahead of OnePlus 7 Pro’s 6.2 percent. Overall, the display quality is A+ rated as per DisplayMate. We are expecting the device too be launched soon on April 14.
