After a tonne of rumors revolving around OnePlus’ upcoming Warp Charge 30 wireless charger, the Chinese giant has already released a post on its forum which not only makes the wireless charger official before its launch but gives a lot to check out in terms of its performance and how it works.
According to the forum post, OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger will be launched on April 14 with the upcoming OnePlus 8 series. It is equipped with what OnePlus calls as Warp wireless direct charging architecture which takes the advantage of a customised chip to enable communication between the phone and the wireless charger. The chip can also throttle its voltage and current in the process.

Further, we have something called isolated charge pumps that will be affixed within the phone that help in lowering the amount of heat being generated when the phone is on the charge with an efficiency of 97 percent. The wireless charger will also have a cooling help to dissipate the heat with an overall noise at 30db which is barely audible during the day. For a night when it is usually quiet, OnePlus has worked upon a feature called AI Sleep Mode that will turn off the fan by lowering the charging speed giving you a quieter wireless charger.
Apart from that, the wireless charger supports both EPP and Qi wireless charging standards which means you can connect a host of devices using these standards to charge on this OnePlus’ charger. The wireless charging on Qi is fixed at 5W while EPP lets you charge your devices at 10W and if you have an OnePlus 8 Pro to charge, it will run at its max charging speed of 30W juicing up the battery from 0% to 50% in about half an hour while a mere 80 minutes is required to charge the battery fully.
We are barely a week away from the massive digital-only launch so keep your fingers crossed.
