    Samsung has started the One UI 8 Beta Program for your Galaxy S25 in some countries. It is based on Android 16. It is not available to try for users. The full stable version will come later in 2025.

    People say the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will already have One UI 8. These phones are coming in July 2025.

    The beta program will soon be open for other phones like the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6.

    The Galaxy S25 will get One UI 8 in the beta program. Other new phones like Galaxy S24, S23, and Z Fold and Flip from 2022 or later should also get One UI 8. Galaxy A55 and A35, can get updates up to Android 18 as they came with Android 14, . So, they will get One UI 8 too.

    Older phones like Galaxy S21 and Z Fold 3 or Flip 3 from 2021 might not get One UI 8 because they are too old for new updates.

    New Reminder App

    The Reminder app has a fresh look. The categories show at the top with how many reminders you have. You can hide or show categories with a tap. You can also add reminders using text, checklists, locations, pictures, or your voice. There are also ready-made reminder templates.

    Easier File Sharing with Quick Share

    You can send and receive files faster. Just tap the Quick Share button in Quick Settings to start. You can get files while the Quick Share screen is open or send files right from there.

    Samsung DeX

    Samsung DeX now supports higher screen quality (WQHD). This also lets you rotate the external screen when you connect to a monitor or TV.

    Improved Split Screen

    In split screen, you can push one app to the side so it stays partly visible while you focus on the other. Tap the smaller app to switch easily. It’s a much-awaited feature as a lot of users requested for it.

    Camera Quick Controls

    Swipe up or down in the Camera preview to get quick controls. You can turn this on or off in Camera settings. I feel that it has now become super convenient.

    You can make reminders inside the Calendar app without opening it. Tap + to add events or reminders. You can move reminders by dragging them. The quick add menu suggests names and times based on what you added before.

    There are new preset routines for weather and other conditions. You can change them to fit your needs. You can use data from Clock, Calendar, and Samsung Notes in your routines.
