Xiaomi might be working on a new Redmi phone, supposedly a successor of the Redmi K40 series. Earlier this year, the chinese smartphone maker brought out the Redmi K40 that was powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC. In India, it was launched as Mi 11X. The latest leak gives the sense that the upcoming smartphone might be the next upgraded version of Mi 11X in India.
The leak mentions Xiaomi’s new smartphone that will launch with a Snapdragon 870 quite soon. The tip also contains the features and specs of the possible Mi 11X or Redmi K40 series.

Xiaomi’s Redmi phone with Snapdragon 870 SoC
Xiaomi is in process of launching a new premium Redmi phone that will be powered by a Snapdragon 870. Though the tip doesn’t mention any name of the device, it is assumed to be the next version of Mi 11X or the Redmi K40 successor, dubbed Redmi K50.
The leak mentions Xiaomi device name as the “sm8250” which will have a 6.7 inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate support. The display will be an OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. In terms of the camera, the device will have a 50 MP primary camera sensor while the details about the other camera still remains a mystery. Though the expectations are that of a triple-camera setup on the back.

The underwork Xiaomi phone might come with improved haptics. While other details of the phone remain known, there are expectations that the phone might pack a 5000 mAh battery. It might also come with a 67 W fast charging support. The device is likely to come with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM and internal storage of up to 256 GB.
There has been no confirmation from Xiaomi regarding any details of the upcoming Redmi phone. We will have to wait for quite some time until the confirmation arrives or any further leaks turn up on the internet regarding the same.
