Reason for Apple Discontinuing the iPhone 11

The iPhone 14 series is likely to release in September of this year. The Apple iPhone 14, Apple iPhone 14 Pro, Apple iPhone 14 Max, and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to be the four phones in the series. With the release of new iPhone devices, it appears that the company will discontinue global production of the Apple iPhone 11.

According to an Idropnews story, Apple will stop manufacturing the iPhone 11 after the iPhone 14 series is out. It implies that the iPhone 11 will only be available for purchase until the end of the year. While the company has not acknowledged the report, there are several probable explanations.

Reason for Apple Discontinuing the iPhone 11

iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 was released in 2019, and it appears that users will be unable to obtain one until the iPhone 14 series is released later this year. On e-commerce portals like Amazon or Flipkart, the iPhone 11 is likely to be offered until supplies run out.

One of the reasons for the iPhone 11’s cancellation might be that it competed directly with the Apple iPhone SE 2022. The iPhone SE 2022 is Apple’s newest smartphone, and it is less expensive than the iPhone number series. The iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2022, both priced at Rs 49,900 and Rs 43,900, are in direct competition. This might be done in order to enhance sales of the iPhone SE 2022. According to reports, Apple was dissatisfied with the new iPhone SE’s sales and had to reduce manufacturing by 20 per cent.

Because of its big display, face ID functionality, and dual camera configuration, users may choose the iPhone 11 over the iPhone SE 2022. The iPhone 11 has been one of the company’s best-selling phones, according to Idropnews. Since the iPhone SE 2022 was launched, the iPhone 11 has sold more than normal. It’s understandable that Apple wants to drive sales of its new products, which is why the iPhone 11 may be phased out later this year.
