WhatsApp recently announced link previews for links. That can be shared through status updates. After this, the app is now planning to introduce the ability to share voice notes to your status updates. However, it is a future voice status update of WhatsApp beta for iOS.

Share Voice Notes On WhatsApp Status
This new feature is still under development process. It is on WhatsApp beta for Android. While the news about it on WhatsApp beta for iOS arrived today.
As per the news, the voice note for up to 30 seconds can be posted on the status updates. It can be done right with text status. Well without any text on the voice note the microphone icon will show up. This is the same as WhatsApp chat.

It refers that the user is going to a text via a status update as usual. Also, voice status updates will only be shared with the people, the users choose within their privacy settings. These are always end-to-end encrypted.
Well, the new update is still fresh and worked on so it’s still not predictable how it will appear. Even the entry point may appear different when this feature will be rolled out to beta testers.

This ability to share a voice note to status update will be available in a future update. The users are till then requested to wait for this upcoming new feature.
