  • Tired of carrying two phones just to use separate WhatsApp accounts for work and personal life? That hassle might soon be over. A new feature for WhatsApp to allow iPhone users switch between multiple accounts is reportedly in development, making it much easier to manage everything on a single iPhone.

WhatsApp to allow iPhone users switch between multiple accounts is expected to add an “Account List” page right inside your WhatsApp settings. Think of it like the account switcher on Instagram or Gmail. From this central hub, you will be able to see all of your signed-in accounts at a glance.

To switch, you will simply tap on the account you want to use. WhatsApp will instantly load all the chats, settings, and preferences for that specific account. There will be no need to log out or restart the app, making the whole process quick and smooth.

Along with the account switcher, WhatsApp is also designing a new notification system to go with it. When you get a message, the notification will show you both the sender’s name and which account the message is for. This will help you easily tell if a message is for your personal or work account without even opening the app.

This feature is still in the early stages of development and is not yet available for beta testers. There is no official release date, but it’s a strong sign that WhatsApp is working to bring this much-requested feature to iPhones, just like it already has for Android users.
