Vivo appears to be preparing a major software refresh with OriginOS 7, and leaked details suggest the update could bring a much more modern look to compatible smartphones. The Vivo OriginOS 7 features are expected to include an Android 17 base, a glass-inspired interface, smoother animations, and deeper customisation.
The upcoming software could also introduce a redesigned Control Centre, Origin Island and new AI features. However, Vivo has not officially confirmed the complete feature list, so these details should be treated as leaks until the company makes an announcement.
Vivo OriginOS 7 Features Could Bring A New Glass Look

The biggest change in OriginOS 7 could be its redesigned interface. Reports suggest Vivo may give users more control over the appearance of the glass effect, with multiple styles available.
Expected visual and interface features include:
- Android 17 based software
- Liquid Glass style interface
- Regular glass and frosted glass options
- Dynamic lighting effects
- Spring style animations
- 3D Lock Screen
- Redesigned Control Centre
- Translucent app dock
- Origin Island
- Customisable interface elements

Leaked test builds reportedly allow users to choose between Liquid Glass, regular glass and frosted glass treatments. Users may also be able to turn off the glass effects completely, which would be useful for those who prefer a simpler interface.
The home screen could also receive a redesigned translucent dock with app icons and a search bar. Spring style animations may make app launches and other system interactions feel smoother.
OriginOS 7 May Offer Better Control And AI Features
The Control Centre could become significantly more customisable in OriginOS 7. Users may be able to rearrange or remove modules such as Wi Fi, cellular connectivity, media controls, sound settings, brightness and volume sliders.
The lower shortcut grid could also support an edit mode, allowing users to remove unwanted controls and arrange frequently used options according to their preference.
Other reported Vivo OriginOS 7 features include the BlueLM AI engine, smoother multitasking and AirDrop support. The software could also introduce Origin Island and a redesigned 3D Lock Screen.
Vivo has reportedly started testing OriginOS 7 with selected users. Since the software is still in development, some features may change before the stable release. The Android 17 based update is expected to bring a stronger focus on personalisation, visual effects and AI, making it one of Vivo’s more significant software updates in recent years.
