Vodafone Idea (Vi) is set to roll out its 5G services in Bengaluru starting today! This follows the successful launch of Vi’s 5G network in Delhi NCR last month, adding to previous rollouts in Mumbai, Patna, and Chandigarh. Vi users in Bengaluru with 5G-enabled devices will be able to experience the new services. So, read ahead to know everything about this.
Vi 5G Services In Bengaluru: Plan Details
As part of an introductory offer, Vi is offering unlimited 5G data services in Bengaluru to users on eligible plans.

The telecom operator has also announced plans to expand its 5G services across all 17 priority circles where it holds 5G spectrum, with a full rollout expected by August this year. This initiative is part of Vi’s broader capital expenditure strategy, which involves an investment of Rs. 55,000 crore over the next three years.

To roll out its 5G network services in Bengaluru, Vi has partnered with Samsung to deploy advanced, energy-efficient infrastructure. The network features AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON) to enhance performance and optimize efficiency.
Vi highlights that the use of high transmit power, multi-technology-enabled, and energy-efficient small form-factor radios ensures a smooth 5G experience while embracing sustainable solutions. Alongside its 5G rollout, Vi has also made significant upgrades to its 4G network in Karnataka. Over the past 10 months, the company has added 900 MHz spectrum across around 3,000 sites to improve indoor coverage. Additionally, Vi has increased its 2100 MHz spectrum capacity on 1,800 sites and extended it to another 1,000 locations.
