  • Tata Neu, Tata Digital’s mobile app for shopping and payments will be out to the public on April 7, 2022. The app is currently only available for testing to Tata Group employees. The Indian behemoth’s digital subsidiary has set the launch date. Tata Neu app will launch through its listings on Google Play and Apple’s App Store. The new offering will function as a super app,’ catering to customers’ daily grocery, electronics, financial, flight, and vacation needs.

    This app is a unified platform. It is designed by the salt-to-software conglomerate to connect several brands to compete with Amazon, Google, and Jio.

    Customers will be able to earn NeuCoins. These are common reward points, by purchasing products both online and in physical stores. The Tata website will also include offers from other Tata entities such as AirAsia India, BigBasket, Croma, Tata CLiQ, and Westside.

    In addition to shopping, the super app will allow users to use Tata Pay to pay for utility bills and both online and in-store purchases. It will also support the government’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and provide customers with EMI options.

    According to its updated Google Play listing, the Neu app will also allow users to send money via UPI or to a bank account. This week, the app will be available for Android and iOS users following its launch.
