Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi 17C India launch will take place on October 1. The company shared a teaser on X with the tagline “MainCharacterEnergy”, giving users an early look at the upcoming smartphone.
The teaser shows the rear panel of the Xiaomi Redmi 17C 5G, which appears similar to the global version launched in August. The phone features a rectangular camera module in the top left corner. It houses two vertically placed camera lenses along with an LED flash.
The India bound model will also be available in three colour options. These are expected to match the global variants, which are Black, Brown and Purple. The front of the smartphone appears to feature a waterdrop style notch for the selfie camera.

The global Redmi 17C 5G gives us an idea of what Xiaomi could offer with the Indian variant. However, the company has not yet confirmed whether all specifications will remain the same in India.

The Redmi 17C 5G was launched in Singapore in August with a starting price of SGD 279, which is around Rs. 20,900. This price was for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model.
Xiaomi is expected to reveal the Indian pricing, storage variants and other details closer to the October 1 launch. More information about the Redmi 17C India variant should emerge in the coming days.
