Poco is getting ready to launch two new phones soon. Leaks have shown the full specifications and official looks of the Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra. These phones look like slightly changed versions of Xiaomi’s recent Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max. Many people are already talking about the big batteries and strong cameras. So, here is all you need to know about these upcoming smartphones.
Poco F9 Pro And F9 Ultra Leaks: Display, Performance And Battery Details
Both phones will use the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. You can get up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This should handle heavy games and multitasking without any problem.
Here are the key differences:
- Poco F9 Pro: 6.59-inch high-resolution display that can go up to 185Hz refresh rate. Battery is 6,330mAh.
- Poco F9 Ultra: Bigger 6.85-inch display. Battery is larger at 8,050mAh.
Both support fast 100W wired charging. The Ultra has a bigger screen and more battery, while the Pro is a bit lighter and more compact. Compared to other phones in this range, like recent OnePlus or Realme flagships, the battery sizes stand out, especially on the Ultra.

Cameras, Build And Expected Price
The camera setup looks strong for the price. Both phones share a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 32-megapixel front camera. They can record 8K video at 30 frames per second.
- Poco F9 Pro: Adds an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto lens.
- Poco F9 Ultra: Gets a better 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a stronger 50-megapixel 5x telephoto lens.
Both phones come with metal frames, IP69 water and dust protection, and Bose-tuned speakers. The Ultra also has a small LED light ring around the camera module. The Pro weighs about 206 grams and the Ultra about 235 grams.
In Europe, the Poco F9 Pro may start at around 799 euros for the 12GB + 256GB version. The F9 Ultra could start at 999 euros (roughly Rs 1,09,390) for the 16GB + 512GB model. Colours expected are black, white, green and red.
These phones sit in the same category as other mid-to-high range devices that focus on battery life and cameras. The official launch could happen later this month or in September. Once Poco confirms the details, we will know the exact prices for different markets.
Will The Poco F9 Series Launch In India?
Recent certification filings suggest Poco is preparing the F9 Pro and F9 Ultra for a global launch, but early reports indicate India may not be part of the first wave of markets. This could change closer to the official announcement, so treat this as provisional until Poco confirms India availability directly.
How Different Are These From The Redmi K100 Series?
The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are largely rebadged versions of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max sold in China, with one key change, smaller batteries. The Redmi K100 Pro carries an 8,580mAh battery, while the Poco F9 Pro drops to 6,330mAh. Similarly, the Redmi K100 Pro Max carries a 9,070mAh battery, while the Poco F9 Ultra comes in at 8,050mAh. Everything else, including the chipset, cameras, and display, stays effectively the same between the Redmi and Poco versions.
