Furthermore, the rumour claims that the C40 will come with a special version of MIUI called MIUI Go. It may base on Android Go Edition, which is a new version of Android for low-cost phones. IS MIUI GO VERSION is a flag that was just added to MIUI firmware. The new option comes alongside the current IS MIUI LITE VERSION flag, which Xiaomi uses to limit or disable features like floating windows and Game Turbo mode on devices with less than 4GB of RAM.

The phone was earlier rumoured to be a rebadged version of the Redmi 10C, which was released in India as the Redmi 10. The phone has a Snapdragon 680 processor, a 6.7-inch HD+ display, and a battery capacity of up to 6000 mAh. It sports a 50-megapixel triple camera system with a 2-megapixel depth camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
