OnePlus is expanding its budget smartphone lineup in India with a new model. The company has teased the OnePlus N6 Lite launch through an Amazon microsite, giving buyers an early look at the upcoming phone. While OnePlus has not revealed its launch date, price or complete specifications, the teaser suggests that the new device will target budget-conscious buyers.
The OnePlus N6 Lite will join the company’s growing N6 family, which already includes the OnePlus N6 and OnePlus N6x. It is expected to sit below the N6x and could become the most affordable smartphone in OnePlus’ current lineup.
The smartphone is reportedly expected to arrive later this month, although OnePlus has not confirmed an exact launch date yet.
OnePlus N6 Lite Launch Teased: What We Know
The Amazon teaser uses the tagline “Powerfully big” and provides the first glimpse of the upcoming smartphone. The device appears to feature a flat display with a centrally placed punch hole for the selfie camera.
The teaser also shows a green coloured frame, suggesting that OnePlus could introduce a green colour option. However, the company has not confirmed the complete design or colour choices.

The OnePlus N6 Lite could also be a more affordable alternative to the N6x, which currently starts at around Rs 20,999, according to the provided information. This positions the upcoming phone in the highly competitive budget segment.
OnePlus N6 Lite Expected Specifications
OnePlus is yet to officially announce the specifications, but early reports point to the following details:
• 4GB RAM expected
• Flat display with a centrally positioned punch hole
• Green colour option could be available
• 4G connectivity may be offered
• Expected to launch later in September
• Likely to target the sub Rs 20,000 segment
The OnePlus N6x could offer some clues about what the cheaper model might bring. It features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor and a 7,000mAh battery. It also has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
It remains unclear whether the N6 Lite will use similar hardware or make further compromises to achieve a lower price. OnePlus is currently keeping most details under wraps.
If the company combines a large battery with an attractive price, the OnePlus N6 Lite launch could make the phone an interesting option for buyers looking for an affordable smartphone in India. More details about its price, specifications and availability are expected to emerge soon.
