  • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new Aadhaar mobile app for Android and iOS users. The app aims to make Aadhaar verification easier, safer, and fully paperless. It is currently in its testing phase, and UIDAI has invited users to download it, try it, and share feedback before the final rollout.

This will give residents secure digital access to their Aadhaar card and allow easy identity verification anytime and anywhere. UIDAI says the app puts “control, portability, and privacy” directly in the hands of citizens.

UIDAI shared the update through an official post on X (formerly Twitter). Thus, tt urged users to download the early-access version from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. This early release will help developers identify issues and improve the user experience ahead of the stable launch.

The app focuses on instant, paperless Aadhaar verification. So, it will reduce the need for physical cards and make identity checks faster. Aadhaar is widely used for bank accounts, SIM cards, government services, school admissions, driving licenses, passports, and more. The digital version makes these tasks smoother and more secure.
