iQOO 12 Key Specifications Confirmed Ahead Of Launch

iQOO is gearing up to launch its next flagship phone, the iQOO 12 on November 7. The company has been teasing the iQOO 12 series for a while and has now confirmed some of the specifications ahead of the launch in the China. It has revealed details about the phone’s camera sensor and e-sports chip.

iQOO 12 And 12 Pro Key Details Revealed

Jia Jingdong, Vivo Brand VP & GM has confirmed specifications of the iQOO 12 series on Weibo. Jingdong confirmed the phone will have the Q1 e-sports chip, a dedicated processor that also claims to improve the imaging performance.

He also revealed the iQOO 12 will have a 1/1.3-inch primary camera with OIS support.The company is also promising improvements to the wide-angle and telephoto lens.

Moreover, the company also posted a teaser video of the smartphone showcasing its design. There will be two variants of the phone: iQOO 12 Pro Legendary Edition and iQOO 12 Black Race Edition. The Legendary edition of the iQOO 12 Pro will be made in collaboration with BMW Racing with white stripes showing the brand’s logo.

iQOO has confirmed the upcoming flagships will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will run on Origin OS 4.The iQOO 12 will have a flat screen whereas the iQOO 12 Pro will have a curved screen. Both devices will have a fresh design with square design and the thinnest bezels on any iQOO phone.

iQOO 12 Series Expected Specifications

According to leaked specifications, the iQOO 12 will have 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate.Similarly, the iQOO 12 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E7 AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate.

The iQOO 12 will have 3000 nits of peak brightness whereas the 12 Pro will have 2700 nits of peak brightness.The former will have 2160Hz PWM dimming whereas the latter will have 1440Hz PWM dimming.

Both phones will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and could have up to 16GB of RAM.The phones will run on Android 14 and could have up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

iQOO 12 Series Will Have Triple Camera Setup

The iQOO 12 series will have a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary Omnivision OV50H sensor featuring OIS support. Furthermore, the phones will have a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 64-megapixel Omnivision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel front facing camera.

The iQOO 12 will pack a 5,000mAh battery while the iQOO 12 Pro will have 5,100mAh battery with both having 120W charging support.For connectivity, it will have Wi-Fi-7,Bluetooth 5.4,NFC,IR Blaster and in-display fingerprint sensor.
