Now, if we talk about features then the iOS 18.2 changes will include the following in this rollout:

    • Image Playground: This is a standalone application that combines three powerful features, offering users innovative tools for creative self-expression. Utilizing generative AI, it transforms text prompts into visually stunning images in various styles, including animation and illustration.
    • Genmoji: It has a similar function like above, but it works for emojis. The generated images and emojis can be seamlessly shared across applications like Messages, Notes, and Keynote, enhancing communication and creativity.
    • Image Wand: This feature of iOS 18.2 changes a simple sketch into a corresponding image directly within the Notes app, mirroring Samsung’s AI-driven Sketch to Image capability. Additionally, it leverages on-device generative AI to craft images from handwritten or typed text input.
    • Writing Tools (Describe Your Change): It allows users to request specific transformations, such as adding a dynamic flair or reshaping the content into a poetic format. This feature complements the existing suite of tools, including Rewrite, Proofread, and Summarize.
    • Visual Intelligence Feature: A visual discovery tool that enables users to instantly learn about objects and places. With this feature, they can search Google for a product of interest, solve math problems, or request ChatGPT for additional insights. This feature is for iPhone 16 users.

Know About The Eligible Devices For This Update

Apple has announced that all iPhone models supporting the initial iOS 18 changes can now upgrade to 18.2. However, the advanced Apple Intelligence features are exclusively available on the Apple iPhone 16 lineup, as well as the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. These AI features are being rolled out to additional English-speaking regions, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK. Globally, the AI suite is accessible on iPhones except in China and the EU. For the EU, Apple plans to introduce these features starting in April next year.
