Xiaomi has begun rolling out its September 2026 security update to several smartphones and tablets across its Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO lineups. This HyperOS 4 security update focuses heavily on security, addressing vulnerabilities across Android’s core system, framework and hardware components. The rollout is currently concentrated on China and will roll out to other regions very soon.

The HyperOS 4 security update brings the following features:
- Fixes 180 security vulnerabilities across the Android ecosystem.
- Patches 95 vulnerabilities affecting Android’s core system and framework.
- Addresses a serious Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability requiring no additional privileges or user interaction.
- Includes 85 hardware-related fixes, covering kernel vulnerabilities and driver issues.
- Addresses components from Qualcomm, Arm, MediaTek, Imagination Technologies and Unisoc.

Which Phones Will Receive This Update?
These are the eligible flagship phones that have received the HyperOS 4 security update till now:
- Global/EEA: Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra; Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are listed for EEA.
- China: Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5.
- Redmi: K80, K80 Pro and K100 Pro Max.
- POCO: F7 Pro, F7 Ultra and F9 Ultra.
After this, all the budget-series and older flagship models of 2024 will also receive these updates, as they are eligible for this HyperOS 4 rollout too.
