Honor X9b Launch In India On This Date With Ultra Bounce Display

Honor has announced it will soon launch its mid-range smartphone, the Honor X9b, in India. The company has teased that the phone will be India’s first “Ultra Bounce Display” and claims consumers won’t need to use tempered glass anymore.

Honor X9b To Launch On February 15, Teases End Of Tempered Glass

According to a post on X (Formerly Twitter), Honor has revealed the upcoming Honor X9b will launch in India on February 15. It will be the first phone in the country to feature an “Ultra bounce display” with airbag technology and claims buyers won’t need to apply tempered glass anymore.

The company has also uploaded videos of people smashing watermelons and walnuts with the Honor X9b, claiming the phone offers 360-degree whole-device protection. Furthermore, drop tests showcase the phone surviving even after falling from tall heights.

The phone likely uses Huawei’s Kunlun Glass 2, a toughened glass claimed to survive even the worst of drops and dents. However, we recommend waiting for the device to launch to see the actual durability tests.

The Honor X9b was also recently listed on Amazon, revealing the launch offers and bundles of the upcoming device. It will be available in a 12GB+256GB variant.

Furthermore, the company will offer free Honor Choice X5 earbuds, 12 months of screen and back cover protection and a 24-month battery health warranty with the device. The Honor X9b could cost Rs.23,999, while the bundle will likely retail for under Rs.35,000.

Specifications Of The Phone

The Honor X9 will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the phone will have a peak brightness of 1200 nits and a pixel density of 431ppi.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will power the Honor X9b paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It will run on Magic UI 7.2 based on Android 13 and have up to 256GB of storage.

For optics, the phone will have a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro. On the front, there will be a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.

The device will pack a 5,800mAh battery with support for 35W wired charging. For connectivity, it will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, 5G and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
