Honor 60 Series First Look Revealed Ahead of Official Launch

Earlier this year, Honor launched the Honor 50 series, including Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro, and Honor 50 SE. Now, according to a Weibo blogger, the Honor 60 series can launch later this year. Moreover, it will as usual first launch in China markets. As per the latest leaks, the new smartphone series has already surfaced on the 3C certification website before its launch.

From the rumours, Huawei spin-off brand Honor is planning to launch its flagship Honor 60 series in December, 2021. However, the brand has not yet revealed the official launch date. But the device surfaced on the 3C certification website with the model number GIA-AN00. While we wait for the official launch details, an image of the series has leaked on Weibo (via 91Mobiles).

Honor 60 Series Design

This banner gives us a glimpse of the rear design of Honor 60 series. It appears the company will retain the dual-camera rings much like on the Honor 50. Furthermore, it’s also been learned the Honor 60 and 60 Pro will support 66W fast charging. Whereas, the Honor 60 SE will offer 40W charging speed. Based on the leaked image, it can be safe to assume that Honor is not planning to make any major changes in terms of the device’s design.

Honor 60 series will have dual cutouts inside the large pill-shaped module. Each of the two rings is said to house two sensors for the quad-camera setup. Talking about the specs, the listing on 3C discloses the fast charging details of the forthcoming smartphone. It will come with a 66W fast charging capability. The charging speed will be similar to the one currently available in the Honor 50 series. The recently launched vanilla Honor 50 came with 66W fast charging support, while the Honor 60 Pro model supports 100W fast charging. Even the SE model launched in China arrived with 66W fast charging support. Moreover, the Honor 60 series will carry a 4500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 870 SoC.

Therefore, we can expect the upcoming Honor smartphone with the model number GIA-AN00 to be the vanilla Honor 60 or the SE model. Also, if rumours are to be believed, the Honor 60 series will get launched in China on December 1, 2021.
