This program is for all Google Pixel 6a users experiencing these battery issues. To help fix the problem, Google is also rolling out a mandatory Android 16 update starting July 8, 2025, to improve battery performance.

If you are eligible, you have two main options:
- A Free Battery Replacement: You can take your phone to an authorized service center and get a brand-new battery installed at no cost.
- Cash or Credit Instead: If you prefer not to get a replacement, you can choose to receive a cash payout of ₹8,500 or get ₹12,700 in Google Store credit.
To check if your phone is eligible, you simply need to visit Google’s official eligibility checker webpage. Then enter your phone’s IMEI number, and submit your email address.

How to Claim Free Battery Replacements For Pixel Phones
The battery replacement service will officially begin on July 21, 2025. It will be available at walk-in service centers in several countries, including India, the US, the UK, Germany, and Japan.
It’s important to know that your phone must be in good condition to qualify for the free service. If your phone has significant water damage or a badly broken screen, it might not be eligible for the free battery replacement. If there are other out-of-warranty issues, there may be a fee for those repairs.
