The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could bring some major hardware changes over the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Leaks suggest Samsung is preparing a bigger battery, a newer display panel, upgraded cameras and significantly faster internal hardware. The biggest change could be the move to a 5,700mAh battery, while the phone may also get a next-generation Snapdragon chip and faster memory and storage.
However, Samsung has not confirmed these specifications yet. So, these details should be treated as leaks for now.
1. Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Leaks Suggest A Bigger Battery
The battery could be one of the biggest upgrades on the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. The phone is tipped to feature a 5,700mAh battery, compared with the 5,000mAh battery expected on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
That would give Samsung's next Ultra phone considerably more battery capacity. The leaked information also points towards silicon-carbon battery technology, although Samsung has not confirmed the battery chemistry yet.
The larger battery could help improve endurance during gaming, video recording and other demanding tasks. However, actual battery life will depend on the processor, display and software optimisation.
2. The Snapdragon Upgrade Could Be Huge
Samsung could also give the Galaxy S27 Ultra a major performance boost with Qualcomm's next flagship chipset as compared to Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The leaked specifications point towards the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme, paired with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage.
This could make the S27 Ultra faster at gaming, AI tasks, multitasking and data transfers. Recent reporting also points towards Qualcomm's flagship chip being used globally, although the final regional configuration is still unconfirmed.

3. Samsung Could Change The Galaxy S27 Ultra Camera Setup
The camera department could also see a significant change. The S27 Ultra is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel HP6 primary camera, replacing the HP2 sensor mentioned for the previous generation.
The phone could retain a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the 3x telephoto camera could disappear from the setup.
On the front, Samsung could upgrade the selfie camera from 12 megapixels to 16 megapixels.
4. The Display Could Get A New Generation Upgrade
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to retain its large 6.9-inch 2K LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
However, the leaked specifications suggest Samsung could move from an M14 panel to an M16 panel. The phone may also feature a second-generation Privacy Display.
This could make the S27 Ultra's display more advanced without changing its core 6.9-inch, 120Hz formula.
5. Galaxy S27 Ultra Leaks Suggest Price Could Also Go Up
The upgrades may come at a higher price. The leaked US price is reportedly $1,399 (around Rs 1.32 lakh), compared with $1,299 (around Rs 1.23 lakh) for the previous generation.
Samsung is also expected to retain features such as S Pen support, IP68 protection, an aluminium frame and seven years of software updates.
