Samsung has increased the price of its popular Samsung Galaxy S25 5G in India, with buyers now paying up to Rs 12,000 more for the top storage variant. The Galaxy S25 price hike affects the 256GB and 512GB models, while the e variant continues to carry its original launch price.
The revised prices are now listed on Samsung India’s website. The biggest increase applies to the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model, which now costs more than Rs 1 lakh. Samsung has not officially explained why it has raised the prices.
Galaxy S25 Price Hike: Know The New Prices

The Samsung Galaxy S25 was launched in India with three configurations. Following the latest revision, two variants have become more expensive.
• 12GB + 128GB: Rs 74,999
• 12GB + 256GB: Rs 84,999
• 12GB + 512GB: Rs 1,04,999

The 256GB model has become Rs 4,000 costlier compared with its earlier listed price of Rs 80,999. Meanwhile, the 512GB version has received a much bigger Rs 12,000 increase, moving from Rs 92,999 to Rs 1,04,999.
This makes the top end Galaxy S25 considerably more expensive for buyers looking for additional storage. The base 128GB model, however, remains unchanged at Rs 74,999.
Specifications And Possible Reason Behind Hike
Despite the price increase, the hardware remains unchanged. The Galaxy S25 continues to offer flagship specifications, including:
• Display: 6.2-inch AMOLED display
• Adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
• Storage: 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage
• OS: One UI 7 software
The Galaxy S25 uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip built on a 3nm process and is designed to deliver strong performance for gaming, photography and everyday tasks.
Samsung has not confirmed the reason for the Galaxy S25 price hike. However, rising chip demand could be one possible factor. A Reuters report previously noted that Samsung had increased prices for some contract chipmaking services as demand for AI chipsets continued to outpace supply.
For buyers, the latest price revision means the 512GB Galaxy S25 is now a significantly more expensive proposition, while the base model remains the most affordable way to get Samsung’s flagship S25 experience.
