Well, as known Samsung is one of the largest technology companies in the world. While we know Samsung because of their smartphones but there are lots more of them. It carries many different departments. One such department is Samsung Display. It is responsible for developing and producing panel technologies. Samsung Display produces Apple iPhones.

The South Korean technology giant develops displays under this brand. Both for themself and for many of its competitors, which even includes Apple. Well, the company is so successful in its business that it has produced the screens of 7 out of every 10 iPhones sold.

Apple And Samsung Displays?

Apple has been engaged with multiple suppliers for OLED screens. That is used in iPhones. While, some of the most important of these are BOE, LG Display, and Samsung Display.

As per recent reports, Samsung stands huge in the Apple iPhone 14 OLED supply this year. Apple is suggested to make use of more than 120 million OLED panels for the iPhone 14. Approx. 70 per cent of these panels will be produced by its biggest competitor.

It is expected that the company will ship mid-80 million units out of that total of 120 million. The closest competitor stands for LG Display. It is expected to ship mid-20 million units. While BOE is to ship up to 6 million units.

Whereas, Samsung Display supplies OLED panels for all four models. It includes LG Display supplies LTPS for the regular 6.1-inch model and LTPO for the 6.7-inch Pro Max model. While BOE only supplies LTPS for the 6.1-inch regular iPhone.

The OLED displays come under the most expensive parts used in iPhones. So in all Apple generates income for Samsung from every iPhone it sells. But it cannot change the fact that the US company has outstripped all its competitors in the premium smartphone market.
