  • Oppo has started releasing ColorOS 16 for some devices with the March update. It brings the Android 16-based software to the final batch of eligible smartphones. The company shared the rollout timeline for March 2026, which mainly focuses on several mid-range models across the F, Reno, and K series.

With this announcement, Oppo is close to completing the global rollout of ColorOS 16. Many devices from the latest lineup are already receiving the update, while others are scheduled to get it in phases throughout the month.

The new update brings improvements in performance, smoother animations, enhanced privacy tools, and better battery management. As usual, the rollout will happen gradually, so some regions may receive the update earlier than others.

How To Check The Update On Your Oppo Phone

If your smartphone is listed in the ColorOS 16 devices March update plan, you should receive the notification soon. Users can also manually check for the update through the settings menu.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Tap System & Updates
    3. Select Software Update

Since this is a major Android upgrade, the update package may be several gigabytes in size. Oppo recommends keeping at least 50 percent battery and enough storage space before installing the update.
