Motorola Set To Introduce Its Flagship ‘Motorola Edge’ Series On April 22

Motorola confirmed the upcoming launch of its new flagship device, the Motorola Edge and Edge+. Both the devices were expected to be launched at MWC 2020 back in February, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company was forced to hold an online event.

But now, the company posted a video teaser about the same via its official US account on Twitter, announcing the launch to take place through an event on April 22^nd at 11 AM CDT (9:30 pm IST). The devices are expected to come with 5G support along with powerful internals and an exciting hardware configuration.

Talking about the superior Motorola Edge+, the device is expected to feature curved edges as well as a hole-punch design. At the front will be a 6.7-inch (2340x1080p) display with a boosted 90Hz refresh rate panel with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. 

We can expect the device to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Juicing up this powerful machine would be a hefty 5,000mAh battery with some kind of fast charging support, which is yet to be known.

It seems that the company might throw much of the spotlight on the camera, mostly due to the introduction of a 108MP primary sensor on the rear. Leaks show a triple rear-camera setup at the back and we expect an ultra-wide and a telephoto lens sitting alongside the primary sensor. The punch-hole at the front is assumed to house an impressive 25MP camera for selfies.

The low-end Motorola Edge is also expected to come with the same design, i.e. the same curved display with a punch-hole at the top, but with lighter internals that might include the Snapdragon 765 chipset clubbed with 6GB of RAM. However, the device is still expected to feature 5G connectivity. Both the devices could run on Android 10 out of the box.
