Samsung Galaxy M51 Display (Super AMOLED)

Samsung Galaxy M51

The Galaxy M51 features a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display with 393 PPI density. The display does disappoint in terms of refresh rate. As you expect to get at least a 90 Hz refresh rate display in this price range but the M51 display only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.

However, the display panel is still quite great, with its 432 Nits brightness you can easily use it in any outdoor area. The Super AMOLED display by Samsung is always slightly more efficient than others. And being an AMOLED panel, you also get deep blacks, vivid colors, and high contrast.

The display size is quite big, so it’s definitely not for one-hand use. The viewing angles are also great and when outdoors you get enough brightness to read under sunlight. The device does offer HDR support but that is only limited to Youtube, you can’t do the same in any streaming applications. Overall the Super AMOLED display delivers a great experience while watching videos and tv shows.

Samsung Galaxy M51 Performance

The previous-gen ‘M’ Series smartphones by Samsung were used to be very underpowered and that was mainly because of its Exynos chipset. But with the Galaxy M51, Samsung has really done well by giving the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset.

This processor has been used in several devices in this price range. It can perform really well, it doesn’t matter if you’re a moderate or heavy user. The chipset can easily handle any task be it gaming, media consumption, or multitasking. Talking about multitasking, the device features an 8GB RAM variant that offers top-notch performance which allows you to perform multitasking and have more apps open in the background.

The device comes loaded with Android 10 and currently runs on Android 11, and it will also get the Android 12 update later this year. The Samsung’s One UI is also highly optimized and you won’t feel any type of lag with smooth User experience, in addition to a lot of customization options.

In terms of cameras, the M51 features a Quad Camera setup at the back, consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. In the front, it has a 32MP f/2.2 wide selfie camera. The camera performance is pretty good. Samsung has also included the single-take feature that captures photos and videos with all cameras. This is the feature we mostly get in Samsung’s flagship smartphones.

Build Quality

Samsung Galaxy M51

The Samsung M51 is a bulky device. It weighs 213 gm which feels heavy, and the device is also very thick at 9.5 mm. All thanks to the big dispaly and humongous 7000mAh battery.

The device feels very bulky and solid in the hands, and the glass back offers great grip. It also features a Type-C port for charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the right, you get a power button which also has the fingerprint sensor integrated, and above them, you get the volume rockers button.

The power button is placed correctly, so you can reach the button with a single hand. Although you will find difficulty doing the same with volume buttons. The device is having a premium build that feels heavy to hold, you might get used to it over time but still, it is a bit difficult to use it for longer durations.

Battery

The battery is the main highlight of this smartphone. The M51 features a 7000 mAh battery with a 25W fast charging support. In terms of battery, this device doesn’t have any competition other than a few Samsung smartphones and it’s also the main USP of the device.

The battery life is also exceptionally good. You can easily use the device for a full 2 days after charging once. Even if you do very heavy usage like gaming, social media, or even streaming, it can easily give 13 to 14 hours of screen time.

If you’re considering a new device with a great battery, then the Samsung Galaxy M51 could be the best buy for you.
