The iQOO Neo 7 has finally been launched in the Indian smartphone market. The iQOO Neo 6 5G was released in 2022, and its replacement, the iQOO Neo 7, is already available. Instead of using a Snapdragon CPU, which is more often seen in budget smartphones, iQOO went with a Dimensity processor for the iQOO Neo 7. China has become the first country to offer the iQOO Neo 7 to consumers. The business has not yet disclosed any information on its plans to release the smartphone in other territories, including India. There is also a variation of the smartphone with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the iQOO Neo 7 price for this variant is CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 32,000) in the Chinese smartphone market. The edition with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is available at CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 34,000), whereas the premium model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage features iQOO Neo 7 price of CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 37,700).

iQOO Neo 7 Design

Since the iQOO 3 smartphones, the orange hue has been a branding staple for the iQOO company. An orange leather appearance can be observed on the back of the iQOO Neo 7. For its newest offering, iQOO has stuck with its tried-and-true curved frame design. The frame will most likely be composed of polycarbonate, the same as the previous model. Both the iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO Neo 6 5G include a camera island at the back. However, the latter is somewhat larger. On top of that, it has dimensions of 164.81 by 76.9 by 8.5 mm. The AMOLED display of the iQOO Neo 7 has a resolution of Full HD+ and is 6.78 inches in size. A faster 120Hz refresh rate and the 360Hz touch sampling are both supported by this panel for offering a smooth scrolling experience while browsing or playing online games. The latest iteration of the iQOO phone is equipped with a pair of X-axis linear motors. iQOO Neo 7 is powered by an operating system called OriginOS Ocean, which is based on Android 13. The smartphone has connectivity options such as 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, Near Field Communication (NFC), GPS, and Glonass.

The camera system of the iQOO Neo 7 consists of a triple camera configuration, one of which is an Optical Image Stabilization-equipped 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V sensor. The camera system is housed inside the device’s rear panel. In addition to the main sensor, there is also a module with an ultrawide angle of view that has 8 megapixels and a macro camera with 2 megapixels. A camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels and an aperture of 2.45 millimetres can be found on the front of the device.

The battery capacity of the iQOO Neo 7 is rated at 5,000 mAh, and it supports rapid charging at a power output of 120 watts. The iQOO brand claims that a battery can go from 0 to 50% charged in about 9 minutes, which is amazing and makes it one of the main selling points of the iQOO Neo7. According to the manufacturer, the battery has a standby period of up to 506 hours. A USB 2.0 Type-C connector is used to charge and transfer data on this device.
