Disney Plus is an on-demand platform that provides a free streaming service. The platform was announced by the company to create their own streaming service that could directly compete with services like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, and plenty of others. Not only pre-existing shows, movies and original content which is part of the subscription plan but there are also already some great exclusive shows to be found including the highly popular Star Wars show The Mandalorian. There is also new Marvel cinematic universe content like WandaVision, The Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Loki.

The Disney app includes special selections for Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and National geographic brands. There is also a different section in the interface where users can see all the movies, TV shows, and original content offered by the service.

Disney Plus recently added a section where users can see which movies and TV shows are currently watching so they can quickly resume their favorite content.
As a user, you can also create up to 7 custom individual profiles. With this feature, kids can see the source and movies they are interested in while as a parent you can see your preferred content in your profile. There is also a kids mode where you have parental controls so that you can keep your kids from seeing content that is out of their age group.
Recently Disney also added a GroupWatch feature that allows up to seven people to watch shows and movies from the service together via remote viewing.
What is the pricing of Disney Plus Subscription?
For users living in the United States, Disney Plus will cost you just $7.99 a month. You can also save some extra money by paying $79.99 upfront for the yearly subscription. With this subscription, you get free access to Disney Plus all premium content. Unlike Netflix and Amazon Prime, Disney Plus does not offer a free trial.
There is also an option to get more value for your money by buying a bundle package with glue and ESPN plus which will set you back $14 a month for all three services. If you purchase ESPN Plus and the ad-supported version of Hulu both will cost you 7 a month so subscribing to the Disney Plus bundle saves you about $8 a month.
In India, the Disney Plus service is launched in conjunction with Hotstar and the pricing is Rs. 1500 for a year with access to all features of Disney Plus and Hotstar.
