Warzone Mobile Screenshots Leaked

Recently, the online gaming community was shown an unintentional glimpse of Warzone Mobile. The game had already been announced by Activision on March 10, 2022. However, it wasn’t expected to be shown or released anytime before 2023. Fortunately for us gamers, CoD_Perseus, a reputed Call of Duty leaker on Twitter, had posted leaked screenshots and gameplay of the game. However, Activision was quick to remove any content related to the leaks, and the tweets from the leaker are now “withheld” due to copyright issues.

What was in the screenshots and the video leak?

Let’s talk about the first tweet, since it contained a video of the gameplay. The gameplay showed a character jumping from the plane, looting, and being involved in an intense gunfight. Throughout the video, the words “Currently in development – not representative of final quality” were present. The graphics shown were definitely an improvement over Call of Duty Mobile. Of course, this is bound to change as the game is refined and optimised for all ranges of smartphone hardware.

Moreover, it seems like the leaked gameplay was staged in Verdansk. This is a popular map that was discontinued after Caldera came to the console version of Warzone at the end of 2021. It seems like all the fan favourite spots in Verdansk will return, with a new and upgraded look.

The second tweet was a series of screenshots that showed the return of the Gulag system. It looks like Activision are putting all the popular remnants of the original game into the mobile port. Overall, Warzone Mobile looks very similar to its parent game.

Warzone Mobile release date

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile’s release date hasn’t been announced yet by Activision. Warzone 2 will release sometime in 2023, however. Despite having the same name, there’s not much information on whether the game will have crossplay. Bear in mind that crossplay requires a lot of hardware compatibility, even with more powerful hardware on PCs and consoles. So, to make this happen with a mobile game of this nature can be quite a challenge.

Warzone Mobile platforms

Considering the fact that Activision has to compete with EA over the success of Apex Legends Mobile, they’ll have to target a large audience. Basically, this entails that the game will be available on both Android and iOS platforms.
