Just a few days after a successful launch of its new budget smartphone offering by OnePlus. The company is working on the next iteration which will presumably be the OnePlus 8T series.
According to a new report, a string of code in the latest update for the OnePlus Camera app, version 5.4.23, hints at a 64-megapixel sensor. There is no announcement on that front as of now.

Neither of the current OnePlus smartphones has 64-MP sensors. Further, this string of code is in preparation for an upcoming OnePlus smartphone, the OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 8T Pro.

The string of code reportedly reads, “64MP offers higher resolution and captures details in well-lit scenes.” It also states while taking burst shots, the app will recommend the user to switch to the 16-MP mode for “better dynamic range.”
The OnePlus 8 series offers a 48MP primary camera and captures 12 MP photos in default. This only confirms that this update is for a newer version of the smartphone.
This new addition to the series can be expected later this year. As the budget offering, OnePlus Nord is all set to go on sale on August 4th via Amazon and the OnePlus India website.
