With respect to Section 69A of the IT Act, the Government of India has banned more 47 Chinese Apps recently. This happens just after banning 59 apps last month, this includes apps like TikTok, CamScanner, and ShareIt.

India Today reports, citing government sources, that there are over 250 more Chinese apps that are under the scanner for violation of national security and user privacy. Moreover, the list of the new 47 banned apps in India is not out as of yet.

According to Economics Times, PUBG mobile gaming is also under the radar now. AliExpress and more 273 apps are red-flagged by government agencies. PUBG mobile game is under examination for any violation of national security and user privacy.

“The government may ban all, some or none from the list,” added the report.

No official confirmations from the Union Home Ministry as of now. However, this is aiming at identifying more Chinese apps posing as a national security threat. The government will look into these apps’ funding and flow of the Indian users’ data to Chinese agencies.

These 47 apps might be clones of the banned apps in June.
