Vivo Y74s 5G

The Vivo Y74s has been quietly introduced in China. The new Vivo phone is similar to the Vivo Y76s that launched earlier this month in China. The smartphone is equipped with two back cameras and a waterdrop-style notch on the display. Additionally, the Vivo Y74s is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. Furthermore, the phone is available in two separate colour variants. Check out all the features here. 

Vivo Y74s price in India 

The Vivo Y74s is priced at CNY 2,299 (about Rs. 26,800) for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. On the Vivo China website, the smartphone is presently available in Galaxy Blue and Starry Night Black. However, it is not yet on sale in the nation. The release date and price of the Vivo Y74s have not yet been announced.

Design 

Design inspiration came from the company’s X70 series, which serves as the company’s main product line-up. Colours like Galaxy Blue, Starry Night Black, and Star Diamond White are available on the Vivo Y74s, and the exterior of the phone has been chamfered. In addition to having a slim and lightweight design, the phone has a depth of 7.79mm and a weight of 175 grams.

The side power button on the newest Vivo 2021 smartphone serves as both a power button and a fingerprint sensor. Additionally, a 3.5mm audio connector and a USB-C interface are incorporated. Display

Performance 

The performance segment is strong, owing to the inclusion of the MediaTek 810 chipset in the Vivo smartphone for the first time. With 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the chipset is capable of handling both graphics-intensive games and multitasking with ease. Additionally, you can expand the internal storage up to 1TB with a microSD card, which is a convenient feature. In terms of software, the Vivo Y74s operates on the Android 11 operating system.

Camera 

When it comes to optics, there’s a dual-camera configuration at the rear that includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera. The rear-facing camera unit is supported by an LED flash for low-light photography. The gadget has an 8MP camera for taking selfies and making video calls. You’ll be mostly relying upon the 50MP main sensor here since the 2MP sensor and the selfie camera is almost used less when compared with other smartphones from the same price tag. Adding an ultra-wide-angle lens would have been a better choice here, however, it has been skipped.

Battery 

The battery capacity is low here. The Vivo Y74s comes with a 4100 mAh battery when other smartphone brands are providing a large 5000 mAh battery in their smartphones at the same price. The only thing that is worth mentioning here is the 44W fast charging capacity that is capable of refilling this battery within a short span of time to resume your daily activities.

Verdict 

In terms of CPU power, the Y74s of the Vivo Y series is clearly designed for gamers. You’ll be able to take good pictures on the go using the smartphone. In addition, Vivo offers 256GB of internal storage for storing applications, documents, and media files on the go. Also, the 44W fast charging provides the best service possible. However, the missing pieces include a higher refresh rate, a wide-angle camera and a large battery.
