Great looks, capable camera and power-packed performance – Vivo has put in everything in their flagship model, Vivo V11 Pro. Priced at Rs. 22,948, Vivo V11 Pro is a versatile mid-range marvel that is set to give a fierce competition to its flagship rivals.

Vivo V11 comes with the intention to become a phone which can perform everything with a fair amount of decency. Hence, it has not gone for the selfie-centric view of the V-series, but worked on all aspects of the handset, evolving as an all-rounder. It is recommended for people who wish to have an all-in-one pack in their handset.

About the Mobile Phone

Vivo V11 looks quite similar to its predecessors though it brings in some notable changes in its design, giving it an innovative, top-class look. It is also equipped with a great camera – with one of the best selfie cameras present in the market.

Vivo V11 Pro brings in a premium look by introducing the water-drop notch to the series. The bright and vibrant display along with the fantastic screen space is geared to give the user an immersive experience.

Vivo V11 has come with a great camera, which functions well both in daylight and at night. The shutter is lag-free and the autofocus is snappy, and it can capture amazing details both in low-light and when ideal light conditions. The selfie camera can capture bright selfies. It also features AIFace Beauty which does not go overboard with beautification

Vivo V11 Pro is a phone that brings everything on the table – killer performance, luxury looks and juicy battery. It is recommended for anyone looking for an all-rounder in a mid-range budget.

Vivo V9 has an all-glass build and a glossy back which unfortunately attracts a lot of fingerprint smudges. It’s almost as thick at 7.9mm as the V9, but is slightly taller. However, it remains handy and easy to use. The slim borders and the tiny notch that V11 has is called a ‘Halo FullView’ by Vivo. It has Gorilla Glass 3 pre-fitted to the screen which wards off scratches. The tiny notch holds the sensors and camera used for the face unlock feature. The ambient sensor sits beneath the screen and earpiece is almost invisible sitting right above the top bezel. The design makes this phone sleek and seamless from the front.

Vivo V11 Pro has a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with 2340 x1080 resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9 – making it at par with the flagship competitors of the current market. The best feature of Vivo is the screen-to-body ratio which is 91.27%, with a small water-drop notch at the top.

The AMOLED screen is bright, especially for the darker tones of colours like black and deep red. At 400ppi, the images are sharp, text looks fine and brightness level is on point, though it can appear a bit washed out under the harsh sun. V11 Pro comes with the in-display fingerprint scanner which works quite well but is slow and unlocks the phone after 1-2 seconds.

Vivo V11 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 660 partnered by a 6GB of RAM. It is similar to Vivo X21, though benchmark tests found out that it scored 127,934 points lower than X21’s 143,707 points. It does not have the best GPU either, and struggles with PubG and Asphalt 9, both of which must be run at low or medium settings for a good gaming experience. Even then, lags can be present and Asphalt 9 will present some jagged edges. The touch response is good and handling of applications works well. However, taxing games can lead to a bit of a warm-up that might harm the phone from the inside.

Vivo V11 Pro has a primary 12MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture.  While it has dual-pixel autofocus, it does not come with optical stabilisation. The focus is snappy and can instantly lock on the subjects but in low light, the speed drops down considerably. However, the Auto HDR works much better keeping a balance between the exposure of bright and dark areas. In good lighting, the shutter does not have any perceptible lags making challenging subjects easy to shoot. The details are good and close-up shots keep up a good level of smooth bokeh. In low-light, moving images can be a struggle. However, even then, the noise is appropriately handled and details are preserved even when clicked from a great distance.

It has a 25MP front camera which is one of the best in the market. The images captured are sharp and the exposure is proper. It is also possible to use several lighting modes, which is similar to iPhone X. Beauty shooting is present with the AIFace Beauty shooting which can automatically apply filters, though you can tweak it the way you want.

Vivo V11 Pro comes with an above-average battery of 3400mAh. It can last the phone for a day with moderate use. However, heavy use like camera or gaming can drain it quite fast. A single 30-minute round of PubG saw it go down by 11%. Luckily, it supports fast charging with Vivo’s Dual Engine fast charging technology and can get from 0% to 42% in 30 minutes. It can be a saviour to the moderate battery.

At a competitive price range, Vivo V11 Pro is an all-rounder phone. It has some clever engineering done on it, looks modern and has a powerful processor and excellent battery fitted into it. While the in-display fingerprint scanner is a bit sluggish and the lack of optical stabilization at this age takes away some points, it cannot be denied that this is a good phone which is value for the money paid. It is better than Oppo F9 and is a good mix of performance and design. However, similar features come with the Nokia 7 Plus and it is recommended if you want to experience the stock Android One installed in Nokia 7 Plus.
