Oppo Reno 7 5G Launch in India

After launching the Oppo Reno 7 Series in the Chinese smartphone market, Oppo has finally launched the series in the Indian smartphone market today. The series comprises two devices and the one with the lowest price tag is the Oppo Reno 7 5G, which comes with 12GB RAM, 60W rapid charging and multiple other features. There is only a slight variation between the Pro version and the Reno 7 5G.  Let’s take a look at the Oppo Reno 7 5G specifications to know what it has got for the users.

Oppo Reno 7 price in India 

The pricing of the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version of the Oppo Reno 7 5G in India has been fixed at Rs. 28,999. On Feb. 17th, the phone will be on sale to the general public. Starlight Black and Startrails Blue are the two colour options for the Reno 7 5G. 

Customers with ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Standard Chartered, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Federal Bank cards may get up to 10% cashback on the Oppo Reno 7 5G. Additionally, EMI rebates and no-cost EMIs will be available.

Oppo Reno 7 5G Design 

Speaking of the design, the rear panel features a matte finish and while rubbing the back of the Oppo Reno 7 5G, you’ll feel the texture. However, like the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, the rear panel does not feature any slanting lines. Also, the camera module on the top left corner differentiates the Oppo Reno 7 5G from the Pro version. The camera module protrudes slightly higher here and the notification light is missing. The chrome rings around the camera sensors impart a premium look to the device. 

Coming to the ports and buttons, there is a speaker grille along with the Type-c charging port and the SIM tray on the bottom. The frame of the Oppo Reno 7 5G is made of aerospace metal. The left side features the volume rocker, while the right side comes with the power button.

Coming to the front, there is a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and around 90Hz refresh rate, which means both the animation and swapping are going to be smooth. The Oppo Reno 7 5G Display features 180Hz of touch sampling rate and the bezels around the screen are very small, indicating a large screen-to-body ratio. Also, the front is provided with the Gorilla Glass 5. 

Oppo Reno 7 5G Performance 

The performance section is topped by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Octa-core processor, which is based on 6nm architecture. We have seen this chipset in many devices and we know that this is a powerful and strong chipset. You can easily play graphics-heavy games. The RAM options include 8GB and 12GB and the storage options include 128GB and 256GB. Here you must know that you cannot expand the storage, since there is no space for the MicroSD card. The Oppo Reno 7 5G runs on ColorOS 12 based on Android 11. Connectivity features include dual 5G and Wifi 6.

When it comes to the cameras, the Oppo Reno 7 5G has arrived with a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. As for the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera. With the rear camera, you can shoot 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie camera supports 1080P videos at 30fps. Oppo is known for its camera quality and as per the featured images on the official website of Oppo, the picture quality appears great. However, it will be interesting to see the picture quality of the oppo Reno 7 5G when it arrives in India. 

Oppo Reno 7 5G Battery 

There is a 4500 mAh battery in the Oppo Reno 7 5G which is capable of providing a full day usage on average usage. Although we were expecting a 5000 mAh battery, however, they have gone with less capacity here in order to keep the thickness of the Oppo Reno 7 5G minimum. For refilling the battery, the device supports 60W fast charging, capable of refilling the battery up to 100% within an hour.
