OPPO Reno6 Pro Launch in India

The Reno6 series, which includes the Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+, was launched in China yesterday. The new smartphone portfolio is the follow-up to the Reno5 series, which debuted last year. Given the success of the Reno 5 lineup in India, the Reno6 is almost certain to arrive there as well. OPPO Reno6 Pro Price in India 

Finally, the OPPO Reno6 Pro is here. OPPO has launched the device in India in a single storage configuration including 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The sale begins on the 29th of July and the OPPO Reno6 Pro price for this lone variant in India is Rs. 39,990. OPPO Reno 6 series will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Reliance Digital, OPPO online shop, and other retailers. In addition, the company is offering up to Rs. 4,000 cashback on HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finserv purchases, as well as 15% instant cashback on Paytm. 

OPPO Reno6 Pro Design

OPPO Reno6 Pro looks very premium in terms of design, especially the camera module and the lack of any pattern on the backside. You’ll have a fantastic grip since the rear panel is curved along the edges on the rear and the overall weight is just 177 grams and the OPPO Reno6 Pro is very slim. OPPO Reno6 Pro is characterized by its gradient colour scheme. 

The only difference between the OPPO Reno6 and the Reno6 Pro version is that the display in the Pro version is fully curved, which looks brilliant and there is a small-sized punch-hole there at the top left corner for housing the selfie camera. The display is bezel-less, which is quite good and the chin is almost invisible. 

For unlocking the device, there is an under-display fingerprint sensor, which is very quick. The bottom side features the bottom-firing speaker along with the Type-C charging port, microphone and SIM tray, while the power button and volume rocker are there on the right edge. Speaking of the build quality, OPPO Reno6 Pro features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The rear panel is made of glass, while the frame is made of aluminium.

OPPO Reno6 Pro offers similar display specs, which are available in the OPPO Reno6. However, there are small improvements including increased screen size. OPPO Reno6 Pro display measures 6.55-inches and the AMOLED panel comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate along with 402PPI pixel density and the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Further, the display supports the DCI P3 colour gamut, which I really liked about this display. The typical brightness of 500 nits makes the overall experience reasonable under direct sunlight. Display-wise, OPPO Reno6 Pro is amazing. 

OPPO Reno6 Pro Processor

As for the performance, OPPO has installed the latest chipset from MediaTek, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. This chipset is based on 6nm technology and provides powerful performance. You’ll be able to play games at high graphic settings and for day to day usage, this smartphone is a breeze. The performance will be around the Snapdragon 870 chipset. OPPO has laid down Android 11 here with ColorOS 11.3 skin on top. The device supports 5G and there is 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage available in this device.

Camera-wise, OPPO Reno6 Pro is not going to disappoint you. You have been provided with all the sensors as per your requirement. You are getting a Quad-camera setup with a 64 MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro and a 2MP black and white sensor. 

Speaking of selfies, here also, you have been provided with a 32MP selfie camera, which I liked about the camera section. Because, I have often seen in most of the Pro variants that in order to enhance the rear camera, they strip down the selfie camera to 16MP, which is not the case here. 

OPPO Reno6 Pro Battery & Charging

Coming to the battery section, you are getting a 4500 mAh battery, which supports 65W fast charging. For a single day usage, the 4500 mAh battery is enough and in case you exhaust the battery during the day, the 65W fast charger is more than enough to refill the battery with a very short span of time for you to resume your work. There is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger. However, there is no wireless charging
