After its Chinese variant arrived a few weeks ago in China, Oppo has launched the global variant of Reno 4 Pro in India that has released with a splash. With stunning looks and designs, a powerful battery with super-fast charging technology, the phone gets a few things right. It fails to impress the masses with its Snapdragon 720G processor while the camera allows it to stand out. On the other hand, it’s brilliant curved 90Hz 6.5” Super AMOLED panel does try to balance things out.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro Price in India

Oppo launched the Indian variant of Reno 4 Pro on July 31st at a price tag of Rs 34,990/- and it is up for pre-order on Flipkart. Get exciting offers including Rs 3,000 E-Voucher from Flipkart, additional Rs 1,000/- off on exchange, and a Rs 1,500/ Rs 2,000 for Oppo W41/W46 Smartwatch. The phone will go on sale on August 5th so book your unit now.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro takes the design of the phone to the next level with an Ultra Slim Body with everything crammed in a 7.7mm body and weighs just 161 grams. The phone has almost invisible sides thanks to the stunning 3D curved display. The phone has a unique Anti-Glare Finish at the back. It combats any fingerprints a frosted glass back would attract; maintaining a smudge-free look at all time. What might disappoint you is the plastic body. Available in two true tone colour variants i.e Silky White and Starry Night, the back panel manages to keep its satiny texture alive for years of use. There’s a quad-camera setup on the back with each lens separately placed in a rectangular camera bump flanked with a LED flash.

Enjoy a 3D Borderless Sense Screen with Oppo Reno 4 Pro; thanks to its 3D curved design that offers an added screen real estate compared to its standard version. The display is a 6.53” Super AMOLED panel with a 92.01 per cent screen-to-body ratio and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. Get seamless and silky smooth transitions and scrolling with an exceptional 90Hz refresh rate. It gives an ultra-fluid animation as well. The display has a 100 per cent DCI-P3 for excellent colour reproduction and produces a max 1100 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, it has a TUV Rheinland Full Care Display Certification.

Just like a Mustang roars with its powerful turbocharged engine, Reno 4 Pro sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor that gives the phone an edge over its predecessor. It can handle multitasking and gaming; thanks to the 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage to comfortably move around. A lot of users might complain that the same processor is available at a way cheaper price, like in Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Plus, it comes preloaded with Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2 that brings a very aesthetic side of the user interface on-board. It is loaded with excellent and revamped icons and features like Oppo Share, Quick Return Bubble, Oppo Relax, and Oppo Lab among others to cherish.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro sports a single front 32MP sensor housed in a punch-hole while the rear sports a quad-camera setup. It includes a primary 48MP sensor with 8MP ultra-wide-sensor, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor that make up its camera setup. An AI Slow Motion feature yanks up frame per second to 960fps for excellent slow-motion shots. There’s an AI Color Portrait that refines the colours to make it look true to life; while the monochrome video mode allows highlighting greens, blues, and reds in the videos.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro sports a giant 4,000 mAh battery that keeps the phone going for hours even on heavy usage. It has an efficient Super Power Saving Mode that stretches the battery to 1.5 hours even if the 5% battery is left. You also get the superb and blazing fast 65W SuperVOOC 2.0. It fully charges the battery to its full capability in just 36 minutes. Plug the battery for a few minutes and you will get an hour of charge for use.

Oppo has squashed a mix of everything in its Reno 4 Pro. It does have a flagship-grade AMOLED panel, the battery with a fast charge but it does make sacrifices with its now not-so-powerful chipset at a price tag of 35K. It could have strived for Snapdragon 765G which is a sureshot disappointing factor if you are into gaming and heavy usage. Overall, it is a good phone for usage but you can go for alternatives if performance is what you desire.
