WhatsApp just added WhatsApp reaction to its app. It enables users to respond to any message with a rapid set of five emojis. WhatsApp is already planning to extend this feature. It is similar to what other Meta group applications like Instagram and Facebook Messenger currently provide. According to WABetaInfo, the company is working on adding detailed reaction views to the group and private conversations. This will let the group members know how others are reacting to a picture album.

According to WABetaInfo, customers will soon be able to see which photograph in an album has received which reply without having to open it. It is currently not possible to see which media has received a reaction when a person shares reactions to a picture in an automated album without first accessing the album.  The feature is still developing, therefore beta testers will not be able to use it. A screenshot of the new option is there in the report, providing customers an idea of how the function will appear once it is implemented. A new media thumbnail with extensive response information may be seen in the screenshot.

WhatsApp began rolling out emoji replies to all users in May, allowing them to rapidly send responses to specific messages using six emojis. WhatsApp’s sibling companies Instagram and Messenger already have the functionality. WhatsApp users will be able to express emotions as like, love, laugh, surprise, grief, and gratitude through reactions to their messages.

Apart from responses, the company is focusing on new methods to improve the platform’s group messaging experience. It is likely to be working on a new feature that will allow users to see previous members of their groups. Users will be able to keep track of members who have previously left a WhatsApp group using the functionality.
