Vivo X500 Series Launched: X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max Bring Major Camera Upgrades

Vivo has launched its new X500 series in China, introducing three flagship smartphones namely the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and the new Vivo X500 Pro Max. The new lineup puts a strong focus on camera performance, video recording, stabilisation and flagship processing, with the Pro Max positioned as the top-end model.

For Indian smartphone buyers, however, one important detail remains pending: Vivo has not yet confirmed the India launch date or India pricing for the vivo X500 series. The phones debut in China first, with an India launch expected to follow, although the exact timeline has not been officially announced.

Vivo has launched the new X500 series in China, with the Vivo X500 starting at CNY 5,499, while the X500 Pro starts at CNY 6,499. The top-end X500 Pro Max starts at CNY 6,999.

The Vivo X500 Series launch has taken place in China, bringing the new Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max to the flagship smartphone lineup. so, here is quick differences between each model in the series, for you to decide easily.

Vivo X500 Series Camera Accessories

The Vivo X500 Series launch also introduces features such as 4K high-frame-rate video recording, advanced stabilisation and the new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset on the Pro models. All three models support Vivo's additional camera accessories. Users can add compatible telephoto zoom attachments, including 2.35x (200mm equivalent) and 4.7x (400mm equivalent) ZEISS-branded options. The compatible camera grip adds physical camera controls, a two-stage shutter button, a dedicated video button, a standard 1/4-inch tripod socket and a built-in 2,300mAh battery.

Vivo also offers a Vivo Vlog Screen, which can be magnetically attached to a compatible case. It can work as a rear display for selfies and vlogging, as well as a remote viewfinder via Bluetooth and screen mirroring.

Across the series, the camera systems are developed with ZEISS, while the displays also receive ZEISS colour calibration. All three phones carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

Should Indian Buyers Wait for the X500 Series?

For anyone considering a premium Vivo phone, the X500 series is now the company's latest flagship generation in China. Its focus on camera hardware, ZEISS imaging, high-frame-rate video, large batteries and new MediaTek processors makes those areas particularly important to evaluate once Indian pricing and availability are announced.

For now, the biggest unanswered questions for India remain how much the phones will cost, which X500 models will launch here and when they will go on sale.

Vivo is expected to provide those details closer to the Indian launch.
