Vivo has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming V80 smartphone in India. The company will unveil the phone on October 6 at 12 PM, while also revealing several key details about its display, battery, cameras and software. The newly confirmed Vivo V80 specs suggest that the phone will focus strongly on display quality, photography and video recording.
Vivo V80 Specs And Key Features
The vivo V80 will feature a large OLED display with a high refresh rate and very high peak brightness. vivo has also highlighted its camera capabilities, with four cameras developed in collaboration with ZEISS.

Key specifications revealed so far include:
• Display: 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display, with 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness
• Battery: 7,200mAh battery, and 90W fast charging support
• Four ZEISS co developed cameras
• 4K Cinematic Video support
• 4K video recording at 60fps with OIS
The phone will also bring several camera and video features aimed at improving portrait photography and cinematic recording. In India, vivo will offer AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 along with a dedicated Diwali Frame feature.
vivo has not yet confirmed the processor or RAM and storage configurations of the V80. These details are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
Vivo V80 Launch Date, Colours And Software
The vivo V80 will launch in India on October 6 at 12 PM. The smartphone will be available in three colour options: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black.
The software could be one of the biggest highlights of the device. The vivo V80 will run Android 17 based OriginOS 7 out of the box. According to vivo, it will be the first smartphone to run OriginOS 7 outside China.
Indian buyers will also receive 100GB of cloud storage free for six months through the Google One Standard Plan.
With its large battery, 144Hz OLED display, ZEISS camera system and new software, the vivo V80 is shaping up as an interesting addition to the company's V series. More details, including its processor, memory variants and price, should be revealed at the official launch.
