  • Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V50 Lite 5G in the global market. The smartphone showcases a sleek design with slim bezels and a punch-hole cutout on the front. On the rear, it features a pill-shaped camera module housing two sensors and a ring flash. This handset is a direct successor to the Vivo V40 Lite 5G, which was launched last year. Moreover, Vivo V50 Lite 5G is available in four color options: Titanium Gold, Silk Green, Fantasy Purple, and Phantom Black. So, here are the specs and price point of Vivo V50 Lite smartphone.

    The global launch price of Vivo V50 Lite 5G is EUR 400 (roughly Rs 37,200).

    The handset is now available on Vivo’s online store. For the unawares, Vivo had launched the Vivo V50 4G variant earlier this week. The two variants are quite similar in terms of display, camera, and battery. The main distinction lies in the 5G model, which features a more advanced chipset and enhanced connectivity options.

    The Vivo V50 Lite 5G boasts a 6.77-inch AMOLED display (up from 6.67 inches on the Vivo V40 Lite), offering a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The smartphone measures 7.9 mm in thickness and weighs 196 grams. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with a built-in 5G modem, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. However, there’s no microSD card slot for additional storage.

    The 5G variant features the same primary camera as the 4G version, with a 50 MP sensor using the Sony IMX882 lens, along with an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. It also includes a large 6,500 mAh battery (up from 5,000 mAh in the V40 Lite 5G) supporting 90 W fast wired charging. The device runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, though there’s no information on long-term software updates.

    Additional features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, IP65 water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. As with its predecessor, the 3.5 mm headphone jack is absent.
