Google Pixel 8 Series Launch: In recent weeks, the rumour mill has been abuzz with frequent mentions of the Google Pixel 8 series. The official launch of these Google phones is still a few months away. But the numerous leaks and reports have already surfaced. A recent leak has provided insights into the battery capacities and charging capabilities of the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Google Pixel 8 series: Expected Battery Qualities
According to the report, the Pixel 8 series will have Wi-Fi 7 support and an upgraded ultrawide-band feature, exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro. Additionally, Google is reportedly planning to expand the availability of the Pixel 8. The expansion includes several new countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Portugal.
- The recent leak suggests that the Pixel 8 series will offer notable advancements in battery performance. It will also offer charging speeds when compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 series.
- Rumour Suggests that the Pixel 8 will launch with a 4,485mAh battery. The new launch will be slightly larger than the 4,270mAh battery found in the Google Pixel 7.
- Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro expects to receive an upgrade with a 4,950mAh battery. This suggests that it will be surpassing the 4,296mAh battery capacity of its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro.
- According to reports, Google is said to be raising the charging power for wired charging on the Pixel 7 from 20W to 24W, and from 23W to 27W on the Pixel 8 Pro. These details pertain to wired charging, while wireless charging capabilities are expected to remain the same for the Series. It’s worth noting that these specifications are subject to change as the final products are still in development.

Specs of An Upcoming Launch
- Rumours suggest that the Pixel 8 Pro will incorporate the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor. The sensor is famous for its 50-megapixel resolution that offers 100MP imaging capabilities. Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro expects to include a 64MP Sony IMX787 ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto lens.
- Regarding front-facing cameras, the upcoming model retains the same 11MP front camera found in the Pixel 7 series.
- The Tensor G3 chipset, representing Google’s third in-house processor will drive the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.
- The Pixel 8 will be available in four distinct colour options: Jade, Haze, Licorice, and Peony.
- Similarly, the Pixel 8 Pro will be offered in four different colour variations: Jade, Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky.
