Bharti Airtel changed the price of its minimum monthly recharge plan. The plan sees an addition of 57 per cent in Haryana and Odisha. As per reports, the telecom operator is going to close the Rs. 99 plan in these two states.
Now instead of the previous plan, it is bringing the Rs. 155 plan. It is Airtel’s lowest prepaid recharge plan. According to this, it is suggested that this pack may roll out across the country very soon.
As known it is going to be a 57 per cent hike in minimum recharge value. However, it will act as a huge rise for those who just want to keep their number active. It will even require the users to recharge more often.
Switch From Rs. 99 To Rs. 155 Airtel Recharge Plan
The minimum recharge plan at Rs. 99 may offer 200MB of data. The calls may be at the rate of Rs. 2.5 paise per second for 28 days. While, the Rs. 155 recharge offers unlimited voice calls, 1GB of data and 300 SMSes.
The Rs. 155 recharge plan brings more benefits like unlimited voice calls to any network. Also, with 300 SMS and 1GB of data. However, the Rs. 99 was pocket friendly.
Moreover, the reactions from telecom subscribers are still to be seen, because of the massive price hike. The Rs. 155 pack has a validity of 24 days. It is shorter in comparison to the 28-day monthly plan of Rs. 99.
The now switched minimum recharge pack comes with additional benefits like free Wynk Music and Hellotunes.
New Minimum Airtel Recharge Roll Out
According to the reports, Airtel has begun the trial of the new plan in Haryana and Odisha. It may even roll out the same across the country. However, this may come along with reactions.
The company may even discontinue all 28-day plans with calls, SMS and data which come under the plan of Rs. 155. However, if this rolls out the users have to recharge with this plan to avail of SMS services or to continue to keep the SIM active.
Moreover, to resume, Airtel did a similar price hike back in 2021. Well, then the company brought the hike from Rs. 79 to Rs. 99 in selected circles.
