Samsung Reveals New BioActive Sensor Before Watch 7 Series Launch

Samsung is gearing up to release its next generation of Galaxy Watch series apart from other products at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. This will include the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, and possibly a new Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. A day before its launch, the company has shed light on the new sensors that will power the Galaxy Watch 7 series. Here is everything you need to know about this new BioActive sensor.

Samsung New BioActive Sensor To Power Upcoming Galaxy Watch

Samsung has unveiled its new BioActive sensor, which will offer accurate health tracking with personalized data in the upcoming Watch 7 series. This sensor offers “advanced predictive and preventative wellness features never seen before on wearable devices.”

The company focuses on three significant upgrades in the BioActive sensor: increasing the performance of light-receiving photodiodes, adding additional LEDs to the sensor and arranging them optimally across the sensor. It has doubled the performance of each photodiode to ensure it offers the same performance while decreasing its number to four.

Furthermore, this new arrangement from Samsung in the BioActive Sensor allows better placement and a wider variety of LEDs across the sensor, including Blue, Yellow, Violet, and Ultraviolet LEDs.You also get new Green, Red, and Infrared LEDs.

Watch 7 Series Will Offer These Fitness Features

Samsung claims this new BioActive sensor can accurately measure heart rate, sleep quality, blood pressure, blood oxygen and stress. Moreover, the heart rate measure is 30 per cent more accurate during intense workouts.

Another new capability that the Samsung BioActive sensor unlocks is advanced glycation end products (AGEs). This can be an insightful biomarker that reveals details about metabolic health and biological ageing.
