Samsung’s Galaxy phones could look and work differently in 2027. New reports suggest One UI 10 may bring a major interface redesign, with more AI features and fewer steps to complete everyday tasks. A possible change of name to “Galaxy OS” is also being discussed.
For Galaxy owners, the biggest question is what these changes would actually do. A different appearance may attract attention, but quicker navigation and useful connections between apps could have a greater effect on daily use.
One UI 10 Leaks : Could Bring Information From Different Apps Together
One UI 10 Leaks suggest one reported change is a context-aware interface. In simple terms, the phone could bring together information related to what you’re doing, rather than making you find it in several separate apps.

Calendar appointments, messages and location details are among the examples mentioned in reports. The aim would be to reduce the number of times users switch between apps and make common tasks easier to finish. There is no public demonstration showing exactly how this would work.
Galaxy AI could also become more closely connected to the interface. Samsung is reportedly exploring better continuity between phones, tablets and wearables, although specific functions remain unclear.

That leaves important questions unanswered. Samsung has not explained what information any new system would access, which apps it would support or what controls users would have.
Reports suggest One UI 10 could be based on Android 18 and arrive around mid-2027, possibly alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 9 and Galaxy Z Flip 9. This remains a reported timeframe, rather than an official launch schedule.
Will Samsung Change the Name or Charge for AI?
The suggested “Galaxy OS” name is a separate rumour. Samsung has not confirmed plans to replace the One UI branding. A possible name change should also not be taken as evidence that Galaxy phones are moving away from Android. The reports still describe an Android-based update.
Talk of paid AI features needs some context, too. Samsung’s current support information says its basic Galaxy AI features are free. Enhanced Samsung AI features and third-party tools may have different terms and could involve fees. That existing policy does not confirm a new One UI 10 subscription.

Samsung has announced no One UI 10 subscription price, paid feature list or India-specific charges.
For now, the reports point towards a more connected Galaxy experience, but they do not establish how much will reach users. Official previews should help answer whether the update brings practical improvements, which phones receive them and whether any optional tools cost extra.
