A few weeks before, Samsung confirmed the launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2022. During this event, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series are expecting to make their debut. They might make their debut in the event later today. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event: Livestream Details

The Galaxy Unpacked event 2022 will begin at 8.30 pm IST (10.00 am ET) on February 9, 2022. The event will be live-streamed via its Newsroom site. Earlier this month, the company teased the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones. Saying it would be the most “noteworthy” Galaxy S-series offering the company has launched to date.

In addition to the Galaxy S-lineup, there are rumours that the brand might introduce the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8 Plus at the same event. Although nothing is certain at the moment. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come with the in-house Exynos 2200 chipset and Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset, depending on the region.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Expected Specifications

According to WinFuture (in German), the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will include the following features. First, the standard Galaxy Tab S8 could have an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with 2,560 x 1,500 pixels resolution. According to reports, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will have a 12.7-inch (2,800 1,752 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Finally, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a 14.6-inch (2,960 1,848 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch.

The Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ may have the same features except for the display. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC has up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Both are to have a primary back sensor of 13 megapixels and a secondary ultra-wide angle sensor of 6 megapixels. In addition, both may have a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab S8 might include an 8,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ has a 10,900mAh battery.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with an Adreno 730 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra might have twin 12-megapixel selfie cameras in terms of optics. It will also include a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 6-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor on the back. Furthermore, according to reports, all Galaxy Tab S8 versions will support the S Pen, under-display biometric sensors, 5G connection, and a quad-speaker configuration with Dolby Atmos.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Expected Specifications

As with the Galaxy S21 series, we expect to see a Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. There might not be a lot of changes in terms of screen size, or the overall look of the phone. Both the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus will likely feature the same “Contour Cut” rear camera housing that first appeared on the Galaxy S21 series last year. The devices will likely come with a glass backside and 50-megapixel main cameras. The Galaxy S22 will also get a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in North America and Canada, while in Europe and India the Galaxy S lineup will come with Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 chip.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to borrow some design features from the Galaxy Note – think a large rectangular slab of a phone with sharp corners, a giant screen and a pop-out S Pen stylus. Right now, there are a lot of assumptions and leaks available for the series.
