The Galaxy S24 Ultra is months away from launch, but the leaks surrounding the phone have intensified. A new leak revealed details about the flagship phone’s display size and resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a flat display and might be the brightest Samsung phone to date.

According to a tweet by tipster IceUniverse, the S24 Ultra will feature a flat display instead of a curved screen. It will sport a 6.8-inch Quad-HD+ display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. In line with the previous leaks, the S24 Ultra will have the highest brightness among all Samsung phones. The upcoming flagship will boast a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.

Apart from the change in the display, the S24 Ultra will have a titanium frame on the side for better durability and a premium feel. This frame could be similar to the recently shown folding prototype by Samsung.

Furthermore, the S24 Ultra will have the lowest screen-to-body ratio compared to previous Samsung flagships since the Samsung Galaxy S10. The device’s bezels are rumoured to be the same size as the Samsung Galaxy A54, a mid-range phone.

Samsung’s decision to switch to a flat display for the S24 Ultra could mean uniformity across the entire lineup. The Ultra models are the only phones in the series to feature a curved panel. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the only phone in the S23 series to feature a curved display.

IceUniverse further claims that the supply chain has confirmed his renders. The design of the prototype folding phone will be similar to the S24 Ultra, and he further speculates that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 could sport the same design and frame but with narrower bezels.

The tipster also showcased a comparison between the S24 Ultra,iPhone 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 to highlight the thicker bezels on the Samsung flagship. The iPhone 15 Ultra reportedly has 2.55mm total bezels and 1.55mm screen bezels, whereas the S24 Ultra will have 3.42mm total bezels and 1.75mm screen bezels.
